If you have questions about this Privacy Policy, contact us at support@friendever.com.

We do not use family memories, child profile information, gratitude journal content, or memory descriptions to create advertising audiences or personalize advertisements.

5. Analytics, Attribution, and Advertising Measurement

AppsFlyer

AppsFlyer may process an AppsFlyer ID, Firebase Installation ID, GAID on Android, device and app information, campaign or referral information, and limited app-event data. The Android app requests the AD_ID permission for this purpose. AppsFlyer does not receive child names, birthdates, family media, journal text, or memory descriptions from Friendever.

Firebase Analytics (Google Analytics for Firebase) may process limited usage events and device information from the app. Google Analytics may also collect website traffic and interaction information through cookies or similar technologies.

Friendever includes the Meta SDK in supported versions of the app. The Meta SDK may process limited app-event data, app and device information, campaign or referral information, and related technical identifiers to measure campaign performance, attribute app activity, and support advertising delivery or optimization. If Friendever enables Meta Advanced Matching, we may provide hashed identifiers belonging only to the adult account holder, such as an email address or name, for attribution, measurement, and advertising optimization. We do not provide child profile information, child names or birthdates, family photos or videos, journal text, memory descriptions, or other family content to Meta for advertising or matching.

8. Data Storage and Security

Supabase stores account, profile, app, metadata, and file-reference records. Actual Memory Vault photos and videos are stored in AWS S3. Authentication credentials are handled through Supabase Auth; passwords are not stored by Friendever in plain text.

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect information. However, no transmission or storage system is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

9. Family Memories and Journal Content

The adult account holder retains ownership of the photos, videos, memory descriptions, and journal content submitted to Friendever. We use this content to provide the features you request, including storing and displaying it within the account.

Friendever is designed for adult-managed family use. A parent or caregiver creates and controls the account and may choose to use the learning experience with a child. We do not intend for children under 13 to create accounts or independently submit personal information.

Information about a child is provided by the adult account holder. Child names, birthdates, photos, videos, journal text, and memory descriptions are not sent to advertising or analytics providers. Limited feature events may indicate that a lesson, affirmation, song, journal feature, or Memory Vault feature was used, but those events do not include the child's name or the content entered or uploaded.

If you believe a child has submitted personal information directly to Friendever without appropriate parental or caregiver involvement, contact support@friendever.com. We will review the request and take appropriate deletion or protective steps.

Firebase Cloud Messaging processes a device token to deliver these notifications. You can disable notifications through your device settings without losing access to the rest of the app.

13. Data Retention and Deletion

We retain information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the Service, maintain security, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements. Retention periods may vary by data type and service provider.

You may delete individual content where the app provides that option. You may also request or initiate account deletion through the app's account-deletion feature or by emailing support@friendever.com. After deletion, information is removed from active systems as reasonably practicable, although limited information may remain temporarily in backups, security records, or records required by law.

14. Your Choices and Privacy Rights

Depending on where you live and subject to applicable exceptions, you may have the right to request access, correction, deletion, or a portable copy of personal information, and to object to or restrict certain processing.

15. U.S. State Privacy Notice

Residents of certain U.S. states may have additional privacy rights where the applicable law applies to Friendever. Friendever does not sell personal information. Limited disclosure of adult account identifiers, device identifiers, or app-activity data for advertising measurement or optimization may be considered "sharing" or targeted-advertising processing under some state laws. Where applicable, you may request to opt out by emailing support@friendever.com with the subject line "Privacy Opt-Out."

We will not discriminate against you for exercising an applicable privacy right.

16. International Users

Friendever is operated from the United States. If you use the Service from outside the United States, your information may be processed in the United States and other countries where our service providers operate, which may have different data-protection laws than your country.
